Pregnancy Coach Newborn/Parenting Educator Lactation Counselor (CLC) Baby Sleep Consultant Baby Feeding Specialist
My name is Margot Lowenstein Simmons and I was born to mother...much to the chagrin of my younger sister, and if I had known what a doula was when I was growing up in Washington, DC, my life would have looked a lot different. Today, I am working to redefine the scope of doula. I am a trained postpartum doula, a certified breastfeeding counselor and a Sleep Savvy Gentle Sleep Coach. I bring my own personal humor and joy for family to my work. My Masters in early childhood development, along with my own unique birth, postpartum and toddler-raising experiences help me support a wide variety of families as they tackle the often-unplanned for aftermath of bringing baby home and raising young kids. I provide truly nonjudgemental support and specialize in offering practical tips and tricks, coaching to ensure a happy, relaxed family unit, transitioning to and from work, as well as the special experience of having toddlers! Because - I think we could all use a little less judgement and little more doula.

As both a postpartum doula and lactation counselor, I provide warm and gentle in-home support for new families following birth. My priorities include encouraging rest and recovery for the birthing mother, promoting healthy baby feeding routines, and providing education and support to your family unit as a whole.

Postpartum Doula Antipartum Doula Lactation Counselor (CLC)
I aim to support families in whatever their postpartum experience brings. This can include everything from baby care while you rest or shower, to preparing meals for your family, to taking out the trash (hey, someone's gotta do it!) As a certified lactation counselor, I love providing help and encouragement with breastfeeding, but I am equally happy to assist families who are formula feeding in the logistics of their journey. Everything I do, I aim to do with non-judgement, a helping hand, and a little laughter along the way! I love postpartum work because it allows me to witness and support the beauty that is a new family... in all it's chaotic, messy, love-filled glory. I enjoy providing hands on, everyday support for families along with emotional reinforcement. There are endless articles, opinions, gadgets and gear out there in the baby world, it's easy to get lost. Sometimes all you need is the support of a community, your intuition to guide you, and of course lots of love from your postpartum doula :-)

Nutritionist Postpartum Doula Postpartum Chef Lactation Counselor (CLC)
As a Postpartum Doula, Chef, and Mom to two daughters, nourishing families is what I’m most passionate about. I serve new parents as a sounding board and additional set of hands while navigating the weeks after birth. I believe that culinary support is an integral part of postpartum healing, providing physical energy in addition to emotional comfort. As a Nutritionist (RDN) and Lactation Counselor (CLC), I support new parents through all stages of feeding their babies, from the first feed though first foods and beyond. My hope is to provide families with warm, evidence-based support so they can rest, restore, and focus on their new little person or persons.
