I am a New York state licensed clinical psychologist specializing in perinatal and reproductive mental health. I am dedicated to providing contemporary, integrative psychotherapy to New York parents and couples.
I help individuals overcome emotional challenges via the mind-body connection, integrating Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, and somatic approaches into therapy. I also believe it is important to engage in discussions around problem-solving and self-care with parents.
Therapy must be a space where you feel safe and comfortable and I believe that a positive therapeutic relationship is at the heart of successful treatment. I view trust, honesty, and humor as key ingredients to forming an effective working relationship with my clients.
I completed my Ph.D. at Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus. I trained at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
I have specialized, post-graduate training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders from Postpartum Support International. I am an EMDRIA-certified EMDR clinician, and I am a graduate of the EMDR Clinical Affiliate Program at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP) Trauma Treatment Center. I serve on the Executive Committee of the Integrative Trauma Program at NIP. I am also a special adjunct clinical professor at LIU Brooklyn.
