About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in maternal mental health. I offer individual, partner and group therapies to help pregnant and post-partum women manage the mood challenges and significant life changes that may occur during this time of life. I also help develop community through groups so that women feel less isolated and alone.

How I work with parents

In a practical and supportive manner, my focus is on symptom relief from PMADs and Mindfulness skills. Whether newly occurring, or from past medical history, anxiety and depression need specialized attention in the peripartum period. I can help facilitate new coping strategies, stress tolerance and self-care practices. The intention is to build confidence and calm as you adjust into new roles. My groups are inclusive, compassionate and nonjudgmental spaces where women can connect with like-minded people. I am also available for private meditation guidance, prenatal and post-natal yoga.

My training & experience

I have been a licensed and practicing medical social worker since 1995. After receiving my MSW at Yeshiva University/Wurzweiler School of Social Work, I completed Advanced Clinical Certification and Certification in Field Instruction at NYU Silver School of Social Work. I have also completed the Seleni Institute Intensive in Maternal Mental Health. I have additional professional experience in the areas of Addiction, HIV/AIDS, Oncology and School Social Work. I am also a 500 hour certified yoga teacher and have taught community classes and individual yoga since 2010.
